Wheelchair Rental in Dubai: Rates and Booking for the 2026-27 Fair Season
Wheelchair rental in Dubai with Dubai Mobility costs AED 30 a day for a folding manual wheelchair, AED 50 a day for a children’s wheelchair and AED 180 a day for a folding electric wheelchair. You can book up to 8 days online. For longer stays, the team sends a quote.
The Manual Wheelchair for rent folds to fit in a car boot or a taxi, and you can book it before you arrive. That matters this season, because the big fairs are split between two venues across the city. Dubai Mobility’s own advice is to book ahead in peak tourist seasons so a chair is ready on your arrival date.
Wheelchair Rental Dubai Rates for the 2026-27 Season
Every rental is charged per day, with no minimum hire period. Each chair below has its published daily rate, its specs and the one thing to know before you book it. In short, wheelchair hire in Dubai starts at AED 30 a day and tops out at AED 180 for the electric chair.
Manual wheelchair: AED 30 a day
This is a standard folding wheelchair, with push handles for a companion. Dubai Mobility describes it as a good fit for people with reduced mobility or people who tire easily.
- Maximum user weight: 115 kg
- Chair weight: 16 kg
- Seat width: 48 cm
- Width when open: 65 cm at the widest point
- Folded size: 29 cm wide, 75 cm high, 74 cm long, with a backrest that half-folds to make it smaller
- Wheels: 24-inch rear, 8-inch front, puncture-proof rubber tyres
- Footrests fold up, in and out. Armrests fold up so you can slide in from the side
- Height-adjustable push handles, an anti-tipper for ramps, and stepper tubes to help the person pushing get over kerbs
- Daily rate: AED 30
The trade-off is the weight limit of 115 kg, and the exact model you get depends on stock. If you need a certain seat size, mention it when you book. Someone also has to lift 16 kg into the boot each time you take a taxi.
Children's wheelchair: AED 50 a day
The Premium Paediatric Wheelchair Rental is built for children who use a wheelchair every day. Its backrest adjusts in three steps, so it can be raised as a child grows.
- Maximum user weight: 75 kg
- Seat width and depth: 30 cm or 35 cm
- Total weight: 13.9 kg (listed transport weight: 9 kg)
- Folded width: 28 cm
- Quick-release rear wheels with solid, puncture-proof tyres
- Swing-away footrests, swing-back armrests and a half-folding backrest
- Elevating leg rests available
- Crash-tested for use in adapted vehicles
- Height-adjustable push handles and stepper tubes for kerbs
- Daily rate: AED 50
The trade-off is the 75 kg limit. Also, some trade fairs don’t admit children. The WHX Dubai organisers say nobody under 16 can enter the halls, and Big 5 Global says visitors under 21 won’t be permitted. Check the fair’s rules before you plan a child’s day around it.
Folding electric wheelchair: AED 180 a day
If walking or pushing a long hall isn’t realistic, an electric wheelchair (also called a power chair) moves at the push of a controller. The Standard Folding Powerchair Rental is an Icon Rehab model that folds by hand for car travel.
- Maximum user weight: 150 kg
- Two 300 W motors, 24 V
- Top speed: 8 km/h
- Range: listed as 20 to 25 km per full charge
- Battery: one 12Ah lithium battery, with an extra one available, plus its own charger
- Controller: PG VR2
- Seat height 500 mm, seat width 460 mm
- Size: 100 cm long, 65 cm wide, 98 cm high
- Folded size: 760 x 400 x 500 mm
- Chair weight: 26 kg
- Front suspension and built-in storage
- Daily rate: AED 180
The trade-off is weight. At 26 kg it’s much heavier to lift into a car than the manual chair. Dubai Mobility says it suits people who don’t need a reclining backrest and can fold the chair themselves after use. The range figure carries an asterisk on the product page, so ask the team what to expect for a full fair day.

Wheelchair Hire Dubai Delivery and Collection
Dubai Mobility delivers round the clock, holidays included, to hotels, apartments, villas and airports. Collecting the chair from the showroom yourself is free. When you book, ask the team whether a delivery charge applies to your location and time slot.
When should you book? As soon as your travel dates are fixed. If you don’t know your exact arrival time yet, pick an approximate time at checkout. Once your booking is confirmed by email, you can send the team a more accurate time closer to the day.
Can One wheelchair Work at both Dubai World Trade Centre and Expo City?
Yes, as long as it travels with you. WHX Dubai runs across both venues in January 2027. The organisers point visitors to the Red Line on the Metro: Expo 2020 Station for the Dubai Exhibition Centre, and World Trade Centre Station for DWTC. Big 5 Global’s organisers say the DWTC venue is two minutes from World Trade Centre Station, with metered taxis waiting outside.
A chair that folds makes the switch between venues easier. The manual wheelchair folds into a taxi boot. The electric chair folds by hand for vehicle travel too, but at 26 kg you’ll want someone who can lift it. For a fair week split across both sites, the manual chair is the lighter one to move.
How do I Rent a Wheelchair in Dubai Before I fly in?
You can arrange wheelchair hire in Dubai from anywhere in the world. Here’s how it works:
- Open the product page, choose your dates and book online, or send the quick booking request form. Online booking covers rentals of up to 8 days.
- Pick a delivery location and time slot. You don’t need to type the delivery address at checkout. The team emails you to confirm where to bring the chair. Airport delivery is available at Dubai International (DXB), Sharjah and Abu Dhabi airports. For any other airport, check with the team when you book.
- Pay online. If you need the chair for longer than 8 days, use the enquiry form instead. The team emails a price, you reply to confirm, and they send a secure payment link.
- You get a confirmation email, and the team arranges delivery and collection.
- When the chair arrives, the team shows you how to use it, including how to charge it if it’s electric, and adjusts it for you.
Plans change during fair season. If your dates or hotel change, email, call or WhatsApp the team and they’ll update the booking. To extend, get in touch before your rental ends. Rentals of more than 8 days may get a lower rate, so ask.
