About CoolCore technology
Stealth’s CoolCore cooling technology adapts to its environment and regulates temperature by managing heat and moisture. The proprietary construction helps manage and distribute moisture quickly throughout the fabric to enhance the evaporation and drying time.
The CoolCore cooling technology is built into the fabric fibres, preventing any decline in performance and keeping its cooling properties. In addition, the CoolCore technology starts with cooling. Still, the patented yarn technology provides year-round temperature regulation – allowing the cushion to stay cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.
Chemical-free fabric technology
- Other brands’ materials typically contain topical chemicals that are toxic to your skin and lose their cooling effects after a few washes. CoolCore cooling technology is incorporated into the fabric fibres, ensuring that performance and cooling properties are maintained. Preventing pressure ulcers
It can be difficult to prevent pressure ulcers completely, but there are some things you or your care team can do to reduce the risk.
These include:
- Regularly changing your position – if you’re unable to change position yourself, a relative or carer will need to help you
- Checking your skin every day for early signs and symptoms of pressure ulcers – your care team will do this if you’re in a hospital or care home
- Have a healthy, balanced diet that contains enough protein and a good variety of vitamins and minerals – if you’re concerned about your diet or caring for someone whose diet may be poor, ask your GP or healthcare team for a referral to a dietitian
- Stopping smoking – smoking makes you more likely to get pressure ulcers because of the damage caused to blood circulation
