The Kozmo uses the same base as Pride’s Go Chair, a highly compact rear-wheel drive chair that can easily manoeuvre around confined spaces indoors with a turning circle of just 64.5 cm. This small footprint also makes the Kozmo easy to store when not in use, taking up only a small amount of space. As with the Go Chair, the Kozmo is simple to dismantle into four pieces, with no tools required, allowing it to be transported in the back of a car. The 18 Ah battery box can be removed should you wish to charge it separate from the wheelchair, and provides enough power for everyday use.
We would not recommend the Kozmo for significant outdoor use, as it has small wheels, no suspension and lacks the power and ground clearance to cope with steep slopes. However, it can handle some limited use outdoors on flat paved surfaces – for example around a school campus, or if taken to a shopping centre.
Please note that the Kozmo is not crash tested, so should not be used for occupied transport in a vehicle – the wheelchair user should use one of the regular car seats instead.
The Quantum Kozmo offers adjustable seating that can be set up to provide a perfect fit, and a range of cushions, headrests and leg rests can be provided with the chair to accommodate your needs. Available in paediatric sizes, the Kozmo is particularly suited to children, as the seating can be adjusted to grow alongside your child.

What are the benefits of buying an electric wheelchair?
Because there are so many options when it comes to purchasing electric wheelchairs, you can benefit in a number of ways. Although some power wheelchairs will come at a higher price point than manual wheelchairs, they can offer many more useful features.
More freedom and accessibility
Powered wheelchairs allow users to get around without having to exert energy, which means that it is possible to get out for longer and a much further distance. The batteries on a power wheelchair can last for around 8 hours before needing a charge again, so those with limited mobility can easily transport for shopping, fresh air, and just about anything else!
For those that require a wheelchair but can also walk short distances, an electric wheelchair allows the user to get out with less effort and therefore have more energy to walk when necessary. A powered wheelchair can allow much more outdoor freedom and accessibility.
Because a power wheelchair hosts a motor and battery, the models are usually slightly larger in size than ordinary wheelchairs. This means that there is more room for comfort, including bigger cushions, support and stability.
The chair can easily be customised for an individual so that they are provided with optimum support while travelling around. Here at Dubai Mobility, our power wheelchairs require a seating assessment so that we can make sure your seat is perfectly comfortable and safe for your use.
