HP-Aqua Head Protection for swimming or bathing

For swimming/bathing
Neoprene outer
Chemical resident
Doesn’t get heavier if wet

A waterproof and exceptionally comfortable special needs helmet

The HP-A “Aqua” waterproof head protection helmet offers a simple and easy way to protect the head from impacts, knocks and bumps while swimming or bathing. Until now, it wasn’t possible to wear most head protectors while bathing, showering, swimming or during hydrotherapy sessions. As they become heavy and tend to perish quickly due to the chemicals or detergents in the water. However, practice shows that head protection is still essential in these areas. Therefore the HP-Aqua waterproof head protector (HP-A) was designed and manufactured.

This soft helmet is constructed with padded foam wrapped in a super soft neoprene shell. It can resist knocks to the front, back and sides. It also protects the top of the head via impact-resistant trapezoid sections. The neoprene is extremely soft to the touch and allows the head protection helmet/hat to dry quickly between uses.

The HP Aqua is ideal for:

  • Swimming Head Protection
  • Hydrotherapy Head Protection
  • Head Protection for Bathing & Showering

This head protection helmet is resistant to water, so it does not get noticeably heavier when wet. The HP-A Aqua Head Protection is also anti-bacterial and resistant to chemicals in swimming and hydrotherapy pools.

Wash or rinse through with clean water after use, which will remove any soap or chemical residue. This will extend the life of the product. It should be left to dry naturally away from heat sources. The “Aqua” Head Protection is for those assessed with a low to medium risk of impacts/injuries to the head.

Our head protection helmets

Some people may find that our range of head protection can help reduce injuries caused to people who fall due to dementia. Our range is comprehensive and can help reduce injuries caused by the effects of many different conditions.

Risk of falling

Falls aren’t inevitable in living with dementia; however, some symptoms can make people with dementia more at risk of falls. People with dementia can also have the same health conditions that increase the risk of falls as people who don’t have dementia.

Falls and dementia

Dementia is a syndrome (a group of related symptoms) associated with an ongoing decline of the brain and its abilities. Some of these symptoms include memory loss and difficulties with thinking, problem-solving, communication and language.
